Waiting for Rain
(Available for both DGBE and CGDA tuning)
Starting with a few gentle beginner pieces and working through to the more advanced compositions “Waiting for Rain” contains twelve original pieces composed specifically for Baritone Ukulele and DGBE Tenor Guitar.
Graded from Beginner to Early Advanced, each piece contains both the staves and tab, as well as fingering fingers for both left and right hand. You can listen to accompanying audio files on my YouTube channel.
Changes in the CGDA Edition…
Unlike the original DGBE edition, I have not included fingering in this book as the feedback I received was that although it was “nice to have” many people preferred the cleaner score without it.
I have also sadly had to omit the piece “Insomnia” as it was written specifically around the note/fret placement of the DGBE tuning and have replaced it with a new piece called “Marilynne”.
I have included chord diagrams so you can use the chords as a visual guide as the music turn (or so someone can accompany you whilst you play).
I hope you enjoy these pieces as much as I do.

It’s so good to find pieces written specifically for the baritone that really bring out the depth and sustain of the instrument. All of the pieces in this book, whether they are classed as beginner or early advanced (a nice touch to grade the pieces) are very well written, thoughtful in their construction, and a pleasure to play. Bravo! – Phil Doleman
